Welcome to Weaveley Furze online!

This is the website of the Weaveley Furze Trust whose history, aims and volunteering opportunities can be found by clicking the links on the right.  Blackthorn is in bloom (above); The 2017 season is well under way...

Work on clearing the grassy, tree-planted, rides of last year's died-back, tangly growth is now finished and we have started cutting beanpoles and peasticks from the hazel coppice for sale in the Spring at Bunker's Hill Garden Shop. We would be delighted if you'd like to be involved.  It's an enjoyable way of getting exercise and fresh air, or just of having a good time, on your own, with family or friends, or with a working party - for dates and times of those see Latest News. Work parties always get hot drinks, cake and cheese.

Weaverley Furze is open to visitors all the year round. The Getting There link gives details of access by foot, public transport or car.  Interesting wildlife includes many species of birds, insects and these deer which one of our volunteers, Perry Knight, has been recording with a hidden, motion-triggered camera.

Comments or feedback always welcome.  Thanks for visiting our site.
